fmx/events are an attraction all of their own. With content and concepts largely created by our partners, they made fmx/09 complete.

MFG Innovation continued its long-standing commitment by bringing research and special applications to fmx/09 with the Visual Computing track and the Cluster Visual Computing. A new and valuable asset to this tradition was “Best of Eurographics” - a review of the annually European Association for Computer Graphics event. MFG Film Funding presented Brands & Financing, an international panel on the different aspects of financing animated projects and provided an overview of animation and effect houses in Baden-Württemberg.

Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg showcased companies from the Berlin-Brandenburg area. invaZion presented the best films from the first ever 3D Stereo Short Film Competition worldwide.

And don't forget the Specials: The Into the Pixel Art Exhibition, a press conference by Germany's Allianz der Produzenten, presentations and screenings by the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg as well as talks by the SAND conference from Swansea and the VIEW conference from Torino.
