Cluster Visual Computing
The film and computer games industry would be unthinkable today without visualization techniques. When it comes to reducing development time or cutting the costs of product tests, visualization and simulation techniques are also indispensable in many other industry sectors and applications – from automotive engineering through architecture to medicine. Baden-Wuerttemberg is an internationally leading business centre for research and development in this field. To further strengthen this position and allow more efficient exploitation of potentials, MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg has initiated the Visual Computing Cluster Baden-Wuerttemberg. The general aim is to offer a platform to enable players to network with other companies and institutions in order to take full advantage of the power of these technologies on a national and international level, for example by encouraging the transformation of pilot solutions into marketable products and leveraging the synergies of solutions already developed.
The Clusterinitiative Visual Computing is an initiative by the MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Public Innovation Agency for Information Technology and Media in the Southwest of Germany. By networking the creative and the technology sectors, MFG strengthens Baden-Wuerttemberg as a business location, supports cooperation in Europe and enhances collaboration in global value chains. By this the MFG is among the leading innovation agencies in Europe.
