Each conference day closed at 19:00, but beyond our closing hours there still has been a lot going on. Attendees of fmx/09 had the opportunity to visit a number of other venues in Stuttgart - even after our program had run its course.
From May 5th to 7th, the fmx/09 Full-Access Pass granted access to the
Pop-Open Showcases with exclusive live concerts presenting newcomers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
For those without Full-Access Pass the Festival Garden at the Schlossplatz offered live-bands will rocking audience from May 05 - 09, starting at 16:00 daily. Original songwriters, Offbeat-artists, Ska and Reggae groups and many more provided an entertaining week.
The Festival Garden also granted a great opportunity to get a taste of the world of Animation and to celebrate. In addition to the live-music at the Schlossplatz, the
ITFS held public Open Air Screenings eneabling everyone to enjoy the festival's open air program.
Finally, between May 04 and 10,
Kreativraum Stuttgart invited to a number of lectures called "Blaue Stunde". Starting each day at 18:00, these were provided by a variety of creative organizations and events in Stuttgart. At fmx/09, the "Blaue Stunde" was the
Screening Shelley's Eye Candy on Wednesday 06 at 18:00. Host Shelley Page, European Representative of DreamWorks Animation, provided a personal selection of her favorites from festivals and graduation shows around the world.
